**Job Title: Diesel Mechanic**
**Job Description**
Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities and provide service on mobile equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all of the site’s mobile equipment used in an underground and surface mining environment. Equipment includes drills, bolters, haul trucks, graders, dozers, tractors, light vehicles, and forklifts.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities on mobile equipment.
+ Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various types of equipment including drills, bolters, haul trucks, graders, dozers, tractors, light vehicles, and forklifts.
+ Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and efficiency of equipment.
+ Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brakes, transmissions, and other mechanical components.
+ Utilize diagnostic testing and perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed.
+ Work with hydraulic and electrical systems, and perform pneumatic and suspension repairs.
+ Read and interpret blueprints to assist in maintenance and repair tasks.
+ Maintain fleet of heavy equipment and ensure all vehicles are operating safely and efficiently.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with diesel engine maintenance and repair.
+ Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
+ Ability to perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics testing.
+ Skilled in welding, fabrication, and blueprint reading.
+ Mechanical aptitude and inclination towards troubleshooting and repairs.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ AA or Certificate in Automotive or Diesel preferred but not required.

**Work Environment**
Work in both underground and surface mining environments. The position operates on rotating 12-hour shifts: 4 on 5 off, 4 on 5 off, and 5 on 7 off.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Coeur D Alene, Idaho.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00
