Diesel Mechanic
Job Title: Diesel Mechanic - WEEKLY PAY

ResponsibilitiesPerform repairs on all types of heavy equipment like heavy diesel trucks, dump trucks, bulldozers, excavators, and loaders. Operate equipment to diagnose problems and inspect for defects.Assist supervisors and co-workers with various mechanic and related tasks.Understand and follow safety precautions and occupational hazards.Follow service manuals accurately.Order parts and complete part requisition forms.Write thorough repair summaries.Train other personnel as needed.Perform routine inspections including Preventative Maintenance.Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.Essential SkillsTroubleshooting and repair of heavy equipment.Welding.Preventive maintenance.Maintenance repair.Use of multi meter (12 volt & 24 volt).Experience with high-pressure hydraulics.Diagnose heavy equipment engines on active job sites.Ability to work on A/C machines and with hydraulics.Diagnose, service, and repair various systems on heavy equipment including mechanical and computer electronic controls, air brake systems, transmissions, high voltage generators, propane powered equipment, and pneumatic systems.

Work Environment

The shift is flexible with hours from 7 AM to 3 PM or 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00
