Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic with experience in servicing and repairing heavy equipment. This includes heavy haul trucks, excavators, large material handlers, tractors, and other heavy machinery. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components in a heavy equipment environment. Experience with Caterpillar (CAT) or Terex (TEC) equipment is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Service and repair heavy equipment such as heavy haul trucks, excavators, material handlers, and tractors.Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical issues.Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates at peak performance.Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documents.Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment for efficient troubleshooting and repairs.Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as necessary.Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols.Work independently and collaboratively to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and maintenance performed.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Diesel Mechanic, specifically with heavy equipment.In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.Familiarity with CAT and TEC equipment.Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documents.Proficiency in using diagnostic tools for troubleshooting.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Capacity to work independently and within a team.Ability to work safely and efficiently in a physically demanding environment.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

OSHA 10 certification.Experience in preventive maintenance procedures.Knowledge of pneumatics and transmissions.Welding experience.Familiarity with dozers and construction equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $33.00/hr.
