**Traveling Diesel Mechanic (CAT Certified) – Per Diem Weekly** **Location:** Based in Omaha, NE (Fully Travel Required) **Hourly Pay:** $40/hour **Per Diem:** $830/week **Job Description:** We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated **Traveling Diesel Mechanic** to join our team! As a CAT Certified mechanic, you will be responsible for traveling to various job sites to perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and equipment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a dynamic work environment and is ready to hit the road. **Key Responsibilities:** + Perform diagnostic and repair services on diesel engines and equipment. + Conduct scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs. + Ensure work meets or exceeds industry standards, safety protocols, and client specifications. + Work independently in diverse environments while maintaining high-quality service. + Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used. + Ensure all equipment is functioning properly before completing service calls. + Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians when needed to complete complex repairs. **Requirements:** + **CAT Certification** is mandatory. + At least 3 years of experience working as a diesel mechanic. + Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical, hydraulics, and drivetrain systems. + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. + Willingness to travel extensively, staying away from home for extended periods. + Valid driver's license and clean driving record. + Excellent communication and customer service skills. + Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions. **Compensation & Benefits:** + **$40 per hour** with overtime opportunities. + **$830 per week** in per diem to cover travel and meal expenses. + Company vehicle, tools, and equipment provided. + Health, dental, and vision insurance options. + Paid time off and holiday pay.
