Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to efficiently and accurately perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engine industrial trucks. The ideal candidate will diagnose and fix malfunctions according to dealership and factory standards while communicating effectively with the parts department and service advisors. Documentation of all work performed is required, along with maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle, managing tools, equipment, and inventory properly. Participation in training programs and reporting any safety issues to management is also essential.

ResponsibilitiesEfficiently and accurately perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engine industrial trucks.Diagnose and fix malfunctions according to dealership and factory standards.Communicate effectively with the parts department and service advisors.Document all work performed and ensure the vehicle is kept clean.Manage tools, equipment, and inventory properly.Participate in training programs.Report any safety issues to management.Essential SkillsAt least 3 years of experience in diesel engine repair and mechanical knowledge.CDL Class A or B.Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects.Adherence to safety protocols.Experience with air brakes, diagnostic testing, engine repair, and diagnostics.Additional Skills & QualificationsMD State Inspection License or the ability to obtain it.Certifications in Volvo, Mack, Detroit, Cummins, TICO Trucks, Cummins B6.7 are beneficial but not required.Volvo Master Certification and Cummins Master Certification opportunities for candidates who work hard.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Our clean and brand new shop houses a small team. The Operations Manager has a strong background in diesel mechanics, providing ample opportunities for learning and growth. Work hours are from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Williamsport, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.
