**Diesel Mechanic Opening in Troy, NY** We are hiring for a diesel mechanic to join a local pump repair shop in Troy, NY! Candidates will be responsible for service and repair of various diesel-powered pump systems, including Kubota, Yanmar, John Deere, and others. A large majority of the work will be performed in-shop, although technicians may be required to travel to client job sites with a company vehicle to perform repairs on occasion. These pumps are used in a wide range of applications, including construction, mining, agricultural, horizontal drilling, and bypass pumping. **Job Duties:** + Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems with client-rented engines and pumps. + Repair and/or replace defective parts, components, or systems. + Perform regular maintenance work, such as oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements. + Adjust, align, and calibrate systems to ensure proper functioning. **Minimum Required Skills and Qualifications:** + 2+ years within diesel engine repair OR an Associates Degree from a trade school. + Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues. + Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams. + Must possess a valid Driver License and have a clean driving record. **Work Environment:** Work will be completed in a non-climate controlled garage, meaning it will be colder in the winter and hotter in the summer.
