Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the routine and preventive maintenance of our fleet management system, identifying mechanical problems, and maintaining detailed maintenance records. This role requires excellent mechanical repair skills, the ability to read service and repair manuals, and proficiency with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure the routine and preventive maintenance of our fleet management system is completed.Identify mechanical problems either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment.Maintain detailed maintenance records in compliance with our fleet management program.Plan and establish timetables to complete repairs and maintenance.Monitor standard operational and working practices to ensure compliance with safety policies and OSHA industry standards.Attend safety meetings and mandatory training classes to assist in the training of other employees.Strive to continuously improve skills.Act in a way that promotes the company in the marketplace.Able to push, pull, and lift up to 75 lbs.Develop and maintain good relations with outside vendors.Perform all other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExtensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair.Excellent mechanical repair skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong leadership skills.Ability to read service and repair manuals.Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in diesel mechanics.Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and leadership abilities.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is a shop setting with a shift time from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Overtime and weekend work may be required occasionally. We provide all necessary tools for the job.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milton, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
