Opportunity Highlights

 

We are offering a $3,000 retention bonus and a competitive pay structure for this position.  This position is located in Meriden, CT., and you will be working in an indoor/outdoor environment with a small team. This position is a standard first shift role, working from 8AM-5PM, Monday-Friday. You will be working in a collaborative/team environment to get work done in a safe and timely manner. Candidate must have their own tools to be considered for this position. The Opportunity

 

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, tankers, and other various types of commercial vehicles. 

Key Job Responsibilities

 

 

Perform annual/FHWA inspections on commercial vehicles  Maintain a clean and safe work area, as well as assisting other mechanics on various assigned tasks  Utilize computers for diagnostics, and various computer software systems  Accurately completing all task related paperwork  Must be able to follow directions  Perform other duties and tasks as assigned  Qualifications

 

A High school diploma or equivalent  1 + years of experience with heavy duty trucks and equipment  Must be proficient with Microsoft suite products  Able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check  Valid driver’s license  Knowledge of the DOT regulations  ASE certification desirable, not mandatory  Must have your own tools  Physically able to lift 60lbs  Ability to work the schedule for which you are hired for  Ability to work on-site as described in the job description  Ability to read, write, and understand English
