**Now Hiring for Diesel Mechanic Manager** **$75K-$90K DOE** **Job Description** Manage Service Advisor, Parts Advisor, and Shop Mechanics. Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities based on priority, quantity of equipment, and personnel skill. Responsible for creating, monitoring, and adjusting employee schedules, coordinating time off requests with Human Resources. Availability outside normal work shifts, including evenings, to assist mechanics and dispatchers during 2nd and 3rd shifts. Handle weekend shop emergencies and customer concerns via assigned work cell phone. Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports in coordination with Human Resources. Monitor work levels and performance, resolve grievances, and identify resource needs. Counsel employees on work-related issues and assist in job-skill correction. Recommend or initiate personnel actions like hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures. Develop and coach technicians through hands-on training. Onboard new technicians and monitor job progress. Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others. Meet weekly with ownership for operations review and attend monthly management meetings. Make decisions impacting co-workers, customers, or the company. Adjust actions in relation to others and reconcile differences. Actively look for ways to help people and understand others' reactions. Identify and solve complex problems. Conduct or arrange worker training in safety, repair, maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
