**Job Title: Diesel Mechanic** **Job Description** Perform preventative and reactive repairs to tractors and trailers. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks including lube, filters, interior/exterior cab care, tire inspection (tread, inflation, rotation, wear), oil changes, wheel seals, and more. Engage in engine work such as replacing alternators/starters, drive cams, brakes, springs, differentiators, alignment, S-Cams, U-Joints, etc. Utilize a torch and grinder as needed, and use a laptop to hook up to the engine and troubleshoot/diagnose issues. Track work through internal Transman (TMT) software. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventative and reactive repairs to tractors and trailers. + Conduct preventive maintenance including lube, filters, interior/exterior cab care, tire inspection (tread, inflation, rotation, wear), oil changes, wheel seals, etc. + Replace engine components such as alternators/starters, drive cams, brakes, springs, differentiators, alignment, S-Cams, U-Joints, etc. + Use a torch and grinder as needed. + Utilize a laptop to troubleshoot/diagnose engine issues using systems like Vandex, J Pro, Detroit Commons, Tactical, and Navistar. + Track work through internal Transman (TMT) software. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years' experience performing maintenance on semis, tractors, trailers, or farming equipment (or applicable schooling) + Ability to troubleshoot equipment via laptop using systems such as Vandex, J Pro, Detroit Commons, Tactical, and Navistar + Experience working with clutches, brakes, wheel seals, and suspension + Own tools + Ability to obtain Class B license **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience working on refers + Refrigeration License + ASC certified **Why Work Here?** Enjoy the benefits of direct hire bonuses, with $1000 after 30 days and another $1000 after 90 days.
