Diesel Technician
**Job Title: Diesel Technician** **Job Description** Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel trucks ranging from 28 feet in length to 56 feet. Work primarily on Freightliner trucks with diesel engines, focusing on engines, brakes, transmissions, and more. Complete daily preventative maintenance as well as repair work. Responsibilities also include working on Toyota forklifts and Crown pallet jacks as needed. Candidates need to be computer literate and knowledgeable in the use of diagnostic software and scanner tools. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain semi-trucks and trailers. + Perform 80% work on diesel equipment, including both preventative and reactive maintenance. + Make repairs on trailers, including wiring brake lights, replacing brakes, changing tires, and repairing hydraulics. + Perform DOT inspections and document findings. + Replace water pumps and AC systems as needed. + Retrieve work orders from an iPad, log repairs, and check out parts through the work orders on the iPad. + Weld or use torches as required. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of experience in diesel maintenance and repair. + Experience working on brakes. + Certifications to work on brakes. + Hydraulic experience. + Trailer maintenance experience. + Computer literacy and proficiency with diagnostic software and scanner tools. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Preventative Maintenance + Troubleshooting + Repair + Diagnose **Why Work Here?** Enjoy working in a brand-new facility for a large, reputable company. Shifts available include 2nd Shift (3 PM - 11 PM) and 3rd Shift (11 PM - 7 AM). Openings are available from Sunday to Thursday and Tuesday to Saturday. All new hires will train on the 2nd shift (3 PM - 11 PM). **Job Type & Location** + This is a Contract position based out of Orlando, Florida. **Why work there?** 1. Brand New Facility 2.
