**Job Title: Diesel Technician** **Job Description** This person will perform all mechanical troubleshooting and repairs. They will inspect trucks and address any issues noted by drivers. The primary focus will be on mechanical failures, with some electrical troubleshooting and repairs handled by more experienced technicians. Responsibilities include chassis component repair and maintenance, refuse bodies control, hydraulic and electrical systems, air and hydraulic braking systems, engine repair and maintenance, suspension, drive train and steering systems, heating and air conditioning, line maintenance welding and fabrication, and providing road service when necessary. The technician will use electronic tools to identify malfunctions. **Hard Skills** + Diesel Mechanic + Engine Repair + Air Brake **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Stevensville, Michigan. **Work Environment** This position is based in the Stevensville location, 2nd shift. There are openings for A and B technicians. B techs earn $26-$30 per hour, and A techs earn $30-$36 per hour, depending on experience and interview performance. The 2nd shift runs from 2pm to am with a 30-minute unpaid lunch and several breaks throughout the day. Occasionally, the shift may start at 3pm and end at 1pm.
