Diesel Technician
**Job Title: Diesel Technician** **Job Description** This position is for a diesel technician primarily responsible for performing preventive maintenance (PM) on forklifts, tractor trailers, trucks, and similar vehicles. The role involves spending the majority of the time conducting PM tasks such as checking tires, adding oil, performing inspections, and adding brake fluid. Additionally, the technician will handle reactive maintenance including changing out brakes, addressing DOT failures, and replacing shocks. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventive maintenance on forklifts, tractor trailers, trucks, and similar vehicles. + Check and maintain tires, add oil, perform inspections, and add brake fluid. + Conduct reactive maintenance such as changing out brakes, addressing DOT failures, and replacing shocks. + Read and interpret blueprints for maintenance and repair tasks. + Utilize own tools for mechanical repairs and maintenance. **Essential Skills** + 6 years of experience as a diesel technician. + Diagnostic experience with diesel engines and related systems. + Experience with aftermarket parts and maintenance. + Proficiency in performing preventive maintenance tasks. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Possession of own tools for mechanical repairs. **Why Work Here?** Work in a new facility where you will be provided with all the necessary tools and equipment to perform your job effectively. **Work Environment** Maintenance shop in a distribution center.
