**Job Title: Diesel Technician** **Job Description** • Builds knowledge of dealer supported product lines, service standards, and procedures and keeps abreast of all changes in various models of equipment sold and serviced by the distributor. • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Service shop and Factory standards. • Vehicle inspection including factory warranty repairs, computer diagnostics and programming. • Attend local, regional, and national service schools and training sessions as requested. • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment not only in shop but also at customer sites. • Utilize various equipment and tools to include, but not limited to hand tools, power tools, testing/diagnostic equipment, cranes and hoists. • Foster close, positive working relationships with all service, parts and administrative personnel. **Essential Skills** + Knowledge of diesel, hydraulics, mechanical, electrical systems, diesel engine, transmission, fleet maintenance, and engine repair. + 2-year Diesel Technician/Mechanic degree or equivalent experience. + Minimum 3 years working in a full-time technician/mechanic role on heavy-duty chassis. + Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. + Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical experience. + Welding/cutting torch experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and attention to detail skills. + Proficiency in MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new technologies quickly. **Why Work Here?** Join our team to experience a professional and positive work environment.
