**Title: Technician (Hydraulic, Electrical, Diesel, Gasoline Engines)** **Location:** Sarasota, Florida **Job Type:** Contract-to-Hire **Job Overview:** **We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technician** to join our team in Sarasota, FL. The ideal candidate will have expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues with hydraulic, electrical systems, and both gasoline and diesel engines. This role requires hands-on experience performing repairs, ensuring compliance with **quality control standards** and **Standard Repair Times (SRT)** , and preparing accurate estimates for parts and labor. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Test, Troubleshoot, and Diagnose** failures in hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and gasoline/diesel engines. + **Perform repairs** to meet company **quality control standards** and within the appropriate **Standard Repair Times (SRT)** . + **Prepare accurate estimates** for parts and labor to provide timely and precise cost breakdowns. + **Document technical issues** clearly, including the cause of failure and corrective actions taken. + **Grind bed knives, reels, and blades** to customer specifications. + Utilize **computer systems** for **parts lookup** and internal communications. + **Read and interpret** electrical and hydraulic schematics to accurately diagnose and repair equipment. + **Perform diagnostic tests** on equipment to identify malfunctions and complete repairs. + Use **welding techniques** as needed for various repairs and modifications. + **Assemble new equipment** based on customer specifications and within **SST guidelines** . + **Prepare demo, loaner, pre-owned, and rental units** as requested. **Essential Skills & Qualifications:** + Strong **proficiency in hydraulics** and **electrical systems** . + Expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing **gasoline and diesel engines** . + **Experience reading manuals, electrical, and hydraulic schematics** . + Knowledge of **engine maintenance** and the ability to read and understand **blueprints** . + **Welding experience** and the ability to perform related tasks as required. + **Detail-oriented** with strong problem-solving skills. **Additional Skills (Preferred):** + Previous experience in **maintenance** and troubleshooting across various mechanical systems. + Ability to work independently and efficiently in a team environment. + Strong **communication skills** for preparing estimates and documenting technical issues. **Why Work Here?** + **Comfortable working environment** : Air-conditioned facility with individual bays/work areas. + **Performance-based bonuses** : Monthly production bonuses ranging from $50–$300 based on individual output. + **Team rewards** : Achieve yearly team production bonuses for meeting company-wide goals, which have been consistently met for the past five years. + **Growth opportunities** : Be part of a dynamic and supportive team where your skills are valued and your contributions recognized. **Work Environment:** + Each technician has their own **designated bay/work area** , fostering a focused and efficient workspace. + The air-conditioned facility ensures a comfortable work setting, even during long shifts. + **Use of technology** : Computers are available for **parts lookup** , email communications, and ensuring smooth workflow management. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $30.00 • Medical, dental & vision • Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital • 401(k) Retirement Plan – Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available • Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents) • Short and long-term disability • Health Spending Account (HSA) • Transportation benefits • Employee Assistance Program • Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave) **Workplace Type** This is a fully onsite position in Sarasota,FL. **Application Deadline** This position will be accepting applications until Jan 24, 2025. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
