Transdev is proud to offer:    $25.00 / hour Attractive benefits package, including 401(k) with company contribution, medical, dental and visionPaid time off & vacationJob Purpose: This position requires the level of knowledge and skills necessary to diagnose and repair work on vehicles (buses, trucks, vans etc.) which adheres to Transdev standards. Handles more complex problems and can resolve independently.  This individual must have the ability to effectively work and communicate with employees and customers.  Particular attention will be on timeliness and quality of repairs.  All work is to be performed with a commitment to safety.   Responsibilities:   Diagnose and accurately perform all phases of vehicle repairRemove, clean, repair, reinstall and adjust vehicle components Engine repair and diagnosisEngine emission components Driveline componentsElectrical / electronic components Brakes / suspension / steering / exhaust Cab / chassisHydraulicsVarious Scan tool proficientEnsure work orders are properly completedSelect appropriate course of action for repairsEvaluate completed work prior to releaseEnsure safe use of power and hand-held toolsPerform road calls and emergency services as necessaryMoves vehicles safely between job and work areaCommunicate professionally with customers, team members and supervisorsActively participates in safety or educational training as requiredContinuous ASE re-certification is required to remain in job classificationThe above duties are not meant to restrict initiative but rather to define minimum activities. These duties may be altered to suit the needs of the company as required including travel to other Transdev locations.Maintain an organized shop and clean work environmentRegular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the jobMaking sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customersPossess adequate mechanic tool inventory to complete all assigned duties and maintained in a clean and safe mannerQualifications  High School Diploma or Equivalent  Must have a valid driver’s license. Class B CDL preferred but will train (will be expected within 3 months of start of training)   ASE Certification preferred.
