Salary: $31.00 - $36.00/hour

 

Shifts Available:

FIRST: 6 AM - 2:30 PM |  Monday - Friday

SECOND: 2 PM - 10:30 PM |  Monday - Friday  |  $1 Shift Differential Included

THIRD: 10 PM - 6:30 AM  |  Monday - Friday  |  $1 Shift Differential Included

Tractor Technicians are to perform maintenance services in which the volume and quality of work is within the acceptably measured standards for Dayton Freight Lines.

Understand troubleshooting diesel engine system with ECM diagnostic programs and other troubleshooting techniquesCapable of diagnosing, repairing, and replacing external engine componentsTest and repair entire truck chassis electrical systemsDevelop skills to become proficient in the repair of all major power and drive train componentsEffectively and efficiently perform PM inspections and services, per DFL policy and time standardsAble to repair, adjust, and align suspension systems and brake systemsMaintain the tire maintenance program, per DFL policyPerform service calls, per DFL guidelines or individual location guidelinesWash and fuel equipment when necessaryPerform vehicle road tests to ensure quality repair service is performed, if qualifiedPerform other maintenance duties or assignments, as necessaryConstantly have a positive attitude, interact courteously and professionally with fellow employeesDevelop skills to become a leading participant in the care and upkeep of the shop, the grounds, and all equipment and toolsMaintain a clean and safe environment that complies with OSHA and company standardsRecord all work and labor on a computer in the EMS systemWork with the Parts Department to assure that all necessary material; parts, service supplies, and shop supplies are maintained at proper quantity levelsComply with all Parts Department’s procedures and rules at all timesContinuously improve processes Qualifications Posses a valid Driver's LicenseBasic math skillsFluent in EnglishLegally eligible to work in the United StatesMust be at least 18 years of ageAble to pass a drug screen Benefits Stable and growing organizationCompetitive weekly payOvertime after 40 hoursQuick advancementQuality HoursProfessional, positive and people-centered work environmentModern, organized facilityClean, late model equipmentSafety oriented atmosphereOpen door policyComprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, etc.Paid holidays (8); paid vacation and personal days401(k) plan, Company Match
