Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Parts Clerk to join our team at Shaw's. In this role, located in an undisclosed location, you will be instrumental in managing our parts inventory and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service. Your contributions will directly support our mission of delivering exceptional automotive solutions.

Identify and deposit core/warranty items, monitor and fulfill selected/essential items in warehouse locations (i.e. Scarborough, ME and Methuen. MA) Perform inventory counts of on hand quantities Reviews information/data and makes decisions within well-defined guidelines, parameters, and instruction (e.g. load, change or delete inventory data) Creates and maintains complex reports/ files (i.e. received items, items issued against repair orders, damaged items) Receives, stores and secures damaged freight Answers department phones as needed and responds to customers’ needs (e.g. warehouse locations) Maintains and updates required Safety Data Sheets (SDS) per company and OSHA guidelines Completes keyboarding projects such as processing - issues, shipments, inventory adjustments and changes or deletions of inventory data and locations Checks own work and information for accuracy Performs general housekeeping of work area Completes other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business

 

Relevant Experience, Education, Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) per department standards required · Reading, writing, communication and math skills at a proficient level · Ability to follow verbal or written instruction · Computer skills: Microsoft Office applications at a proficient level · Basic heavy-duty tractor / trailer parts experience · Experience with TMT (web-based warehousing system of record) preferred · Experience with motorized and non-motorized equipment (i.e. jacks, lifts) preferred

Physical Environment

· During part of the workday the incumbent will be moving about the shop floor and potential hazards exist regarding machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, movement of tractors and trailers, etc. · Temperatures may vary due to shop doors opening and closing. Noise levels in all areas are within acceptable tolerance ranges for those specific work areas. · Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during a normal workday Incumbent may use motorized and non-motorized equipment (i.e. jacks, lifts) Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
