Title: Diet Technician

Location: Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital in Norfolk, VA

Aramark Healthcare+ is currently seeking a qualified and passionate Diet Technician to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals at Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the registered dietitians in the provision of medical nutrition therapy to patients and their families.

Job Responsibilities Conduct nutritional assessments and assist in the development of patient care plansConduct nutrition counseling of patients  Monitor patient food intake and document food preferences, allergies, and intolerancesCollaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure that patient diets are accurate and meet nutritional guidelinesEducate patients and their families on healthy food choices and lifestyle modificationsParticipate in the development of nutrition education materials and programs

Qualifications CDM or DTR credentialExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain a friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workersAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience in a healthcare setting preferredEducation About Aramark
