Responsibilities Prepares and cooks meals for patients / employees of the facility by performing the following duties. Demonstrates knowledge of proper food preparation including receiving, storing, handling, and following recipes. Prepares and serves food in quantities according to menu, number of people to be served, and portion control. Uses accepted techniques in handling, preparation and serving food to clients and employees. Receives, inspects and properly stores all supplies entering Food Service Department. Demonstrates proper use and storage of equipment and maintains a clean environment, including utensils, appliances, floors, equipment, etc. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Prior experience in a residential dietary setting preferred.
