POSTION SUMMARY:

To provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. Must be able to communicate with all residents, staff, and visitors.

Previous experience in Food Services.

Must be able to assist in all areas of the Dietary Department.

Produces high quality documentation as evidence by the following: Sets up trays and food service carts accurately and timely. Provide food service to residents, guests, and employees under sanitary conditions. Serve and bus trays. Assist in preparing, covering and labeling food. Clean work area. Assist in the proper care, use and cleaning of kitchen equipment. Work as a dishwasher, using the equipment appropriately and in a safe manner according all state and federal regulations. Attend in-service training programs for Food Service employees. Perform other duties as assigned by Management. Takes steps necessary to produce excellent work in any task or job that is assigned. (For Direct Resident Care Areas) – Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, motor and sensory adaptation, cognitive and psychosocial appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned area.
