Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee all aspects of our dietary department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality, nutritious meals to our residents while maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
+ Oversee daily operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff scheduling
+ Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
+ Manage inventory and purchasing to control costs and minimize waste
+ Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality and service
+ Monitor food costs and labor expenses to ensure budgetary goals are met
+ Collaborate with the dietary team to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences
+ Maintain a positive and supportive work environment
Qualifications:
+ Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a healthcare setting
+ Strong leadership and organizational skills
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
+ Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
+ Food Handler's Certification required
