 We offer a $500 sign-On bonus!  $250 after 90 days of employment and $250 after 180 days of employment.

 Childhelp is a psychiatric residential treatment facility that specializes in the treatment of children aged 5-14 with mild to severe trauma or neglect, psychiatric disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders.  Our unique location on a 270-acre farm provides a nurturing treatment setting with a variety of therapy resources.  We bring the light of love and healing into the lives of countless abused and neglected children, and those suffering from psychiatric and behavioral disorders.  We take a holistic approach to serving our children along with meeting their physical, emotional and educational needs. Pay: Starting at $17 an hour, negotiable based on experience.

What you will do: As a Dietary Cook you will provide high quality and attractive meals, which meet the nutritional needs of our residents in our facility while establishing and following special therapeutic diets as requested by the physician.  You will be preparing meals for up to 150 people, residents and staff.  You will be responsible for all aspects of the daily function of the kitchen (cooking, dishes, cleaning, and serving).  We are committed to providing a friendly, professional and clean atmosphere focused on offering quality food products prepared in a safe and sanitary environment.  You will need to be able to follow the USDA and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.  Ensure HACCP principles are applied to all food received and prepared in the facility.

To be considered you should: Be at least 21 years of age ~ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent ~ Minimum of one-year of experience in meal preparation in a school or institutional setting ~ Must possess a current unrestricted Virginis Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three years ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

Schedule: A set schedule of 4 days which includes one weekend day, with consecutive days off.
