Dietary Technician - Clinical Nutrition

This position is a member of a multidisciplinary team. Responsible for screening inpatients for nutrition risk factors. Verify and relevant data and refer patients with nutrition problems or evolving nutrition problems to the Registered Dietitian (RD).  Monitor and support the nutrition care of patients that are not followed by the RD. Assist and counsel patients and families in diet and diet progression, collect and calculate nutrient intakes, and assists with meal selections when necessary.

Required qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or Food & Nutrition Or Completion of Dietetic Technician program (approved by Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics).    

Preferred qualifications:

6 months of food service or nutrition care experience in a hospital setting.
