Responsibilities

The Clinical Dietitian II supports, models and trains Clinical Dietitian I's in the core behaviors and responsibilities of the department and organization. Performs business functions, such as management of resources in a cost-effective manner, and participates in compliance and quality performance improvement efforts to ensure that nutrition care is safe and effective.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Two (2) years acute hospital experience working with patients in more complex level of care to specialized population (e.g. pediatric, bariatric, ICU, etc.)Bachelor's Degree with completion of accredited dietitian program (ACEND - Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition Dietetics.) Valid registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Current (within the past 12 months) ServSafe® Allergen and Food Handler Certifications. If not currently certified, certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire. Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.  This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Traning

Must have at least one advanced Board Certification as a specialist or paneled with CCS. Board Certification Specialist in Oncology, Pediatric and Pediatric Critical Care, Renal, and Gerontological. Also Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (NBNSC) - ASPEN, Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (NCBDE). Outpatient/Wellness Center/Rehabilitation - Board Certified Specialist in sports dietetics, obesity and weight management.
