Position Summary

The Digital Account Executive will achieve budgeted revenue goals by professionally and effectively selling News 8’s Core Digital products (Display, Video, Sponsorships, etc.) and the Nexstar Digital suite of digital marketing products (OTT, Targeted Video & Display, Social Media, SEM, etc.), with the objective of advancing client objectives and achieving client KPI’s.

What Role will you play?

The candidate we hire for this position will build and develop a new business book within their assigned territory for recent client acquisition and client retention and growth. This will be accomplished by making in-person sales calls to companies within the assigned territory to set sales appointments and closing sales in person with business owners and key decision-makers. This position reports directly to the Digital Sales Manager and the GSM at WTNH/WCTX, and the Director of Sales at WTNH/WCTX.

Responsibilities

Major responsibilities and efforts include but are not limited to:

• Drive local digital revenue growth for the station and company. Increase revenue share in the market. Create new digital business from outside the traditional media space.

• Build and monetize active pipeline of integrated sales opportunities and close business while collaborating with digital sales leadership to drive client satisfaction, retention and drive incremental revenue

• Serve as the in-market digital product expert with ability to share and impart digital product knowledge to your client base and demystify complex suite of integrated media solutions into simple, actionable learning points that can be translated into effective sales process steps that drive revenue

• Have an impactful and consistent presence in the local advertising marketplace. This includes consistently being in the field making in-person sales calls.

• Oversight of all digital sales products, inventory management and pricing strategies.

• Ability to forecast revenue, develop and sustain a business plan to exceed your digital sales budget.

• Management of your digital sales pipeline.

Desired Skill and Experience:

• 2 years or more experience in sales, promotions, or marketing preferred. Digital advertising experience preferred.

• Ability to translate challenges into opportunities.

• Knowledge of digital sales and marketing with experience in SEO, SEM, social and targeted display

• Presentation experience, excellent written and verbal communications essential.

• Creative thinking essential.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, manages time wisely, and prioritize projects and people.

• Strong computer skills, proficiency in PowerPoint, screen sharing, Excel, social media, etc.

• Basic understanding of ad tags, analytics and campaign tools.

• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications or similar field required.
