We have an opportunity for a remote Digital Analyst on our Publishing Team. As a Digital Analyst, you will be responsible for measuring on-site customer behavior, as well as analyzing and interpreting complicated sets of data to empower the JAMA Network’s team with an accurate view of customer experience on our digital products. Accountable for developing and managing an inventory of analytic dashboards, tools, and solutions to support a large internal team, including the technical and user-experience development of interfaces to data. Provide analysis of data with other business units within the AMA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reports, Dashboards, and Data Insights
+ Engage with the business to interpret insights from data and apply them to their work.
+ Work with the business to identify the annual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that are critical to editorial and marketing success.
+ Lead quarterly deep dive sessions and attend weekly meetings for editorial and publishing to learn about the changes in their KPI’s and guide their business decisions on a day-to-day basis.
+ Support the business with detailed analysis and concise reports/dashboards leveraging multiple organizational data sets.
+ Create ad hoc reports and analysis as required in a timely manner.
+ Educate and train internal users on how to use and understand web analytic data and reports, and bibliometric data.
+ Build an accessible online library of documentation and presentations that aid the business in skills to effectively capture data and interpret for their work.
Customer Data Platform (CDP) Marketing Enablement
+ Assist marketing in developing audience segmentation approaches and data-enrichment strategies.
+ Partner with marketing to define tiered customer engagement lifecycle campaigns that will leverage our full dataset and technology platforms to optimize user engagement.
+ Design and build new data infrastructure to automatically ingest and measure marketing campaign and segment performance data from the CDP.
+ Leverage data to measure the success of KPIs from acquisition to sales and ongoing engagement.
Technology and Reporting Metrics
+ Implement, monitor, and enhance the data technologies required to efficiently collect, store and deploy analytic insights into the business.
+ Build new or optimize existing data collection, transforming, and storage processes to leverage for analysis and reporting purposes.
+ Work with various teams to ensure accurate tagging for new site releases as well as continuously debugging, optimizing, and enhancing existing implementation to support business requirements.
May include other responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
+ Bachelor’s degree required or commensurate work experience.
+ 3+ years of demonstrated experience in data analysis, digital analytics, marketing, technology, or a combination of those required.
+ Experience using analytics tools like Google Analytics, or Adobe Analytics and data visualization tools like Tableau or Microsoft BI required.
+ Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and SQL preferred.
+ Experience with real time site analytics, session replay, or A/B testing tools like Quantum Metric, Optimizely, Acquia Lift, SessionCam, or Qualaroo preferred.
+ Experience providing analytics for scholarly education websites, journal websites, or other digital scholarly platforms preferred.
+ Database knowledge (including Google Big Query) preferred.
+ Ability to quickly learn new applications, tools, and concepts with little training or guidance.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate information to a variety of clients across the organization.
+ Aptitude to balance multiple projects independently, both short and long term.
+ Highly analytical and detail oriented, with ability to analyze data to identify key trends, results, and critical outcomes.
The pay range for this position in Chicago IL, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Washington D.C. is $72K-$88K. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location and business or organizational needs.
