Job Description

The Digital Web Analytics & Tagging team is a part of the Marketing Analytics and Technology organization at U.S. Bank and is responsible for managing digital data collection from beginning (goal of Application/Feature) to end (reporting of Application/Feature) to provide an accurate and trustworthy digital data foundation and data literacy.  It is an enabling function supporting the Business Unit Marketing and Enterprise Analytics & Customer Experience teams (EACX) and thereby the Chief Product Officers/Line of Business, responsible for measuring, assessing and articulating the efficacy of our marketing strategies to help drive growth and/or efficiency opportunities across the bank.

As a Digital Analytics Data Manager on the Digital Web Analytics & Tagging team, this individual will be a product owner for U.S. Bank’s Digital data strategy and Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), as well as support digital analytics tagging from beginning to end from identifying KPIs, validating tags to developing reports and dashboards within Adobe Analytics.   The Digital Analytics Data Manager will sit at the intersection of our partners in the Digital Organization (digital product managers who are shaping the future of our platforms and interfaces for our four customer segments – consumer, small business, corporate and employee), our Technology partners (specifically our Digital Analytics Engineering team responsible for implementing tags), and our Reporting & Analytics teams (responsible for assessing performance of our platforms and interfaces across our segments). Manager is responsible for:

Responsibilities:  

Managing a robust product vision and roadmap, understanding user personas, stakeholder needs and satisfaction for Digital Data/Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA)

Creating and managing a roadmap for CJA, opportunity/issue logs, vendor management, competitor/new entrant monitoring, and any associated RFPs

Stakeholder partnership, including: organized and ongoing bi-directional idea generation and solutioning, including a keen eye towards product innovation, particular in the area of AI/GenAI.

Understanding customer features and guide Digital product owners in thinking through the reporting that will be needed and then translate into necessary tagging implications across our digital platforms and interfaces

Ensuring a consistent tagging approach that enables desired reporting

Validating tagging and usability within both Adobe Analytics UI as well as raw clickstream data – during feature releases as well as any necessary regression testing

Building reports within Adobe Analytics to enable the Digital Organization with initial insights surrounding platform or interface performance

Liaising with the Marketing Analytics and Reporting teams to ensure smooth delivery of ongoing/customer level reporting, analytics and insights

Define business requirements for evaluation and selection of analytics technologies and integration of new data assets

Play an active role with Digital Analytics engineers to ensure critical data is available, with quality in the proper platforms with clear SLAs

Working effectively with, Data Governance, IT and risk partners to drive initiatives to completion

Key member of agile team to identify and manage tagging issues or roadblocks through to resolution

Digital data governance stewardship 

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and experience with implementation and usage of web analytics and tagging tools – primarily Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Tealium, Tags and others.  

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience

Eight or more years of statistical and/or data analytics experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as econometrics, computer science, engineering or applied mathematics, or equivalent work experience

8 to 10 years of relevant experience in digital analytics, data architecture, dashboarding, data product ownership

5+ years’ experience leading data analysts, engineers, and/or developers

Hands-on knowledge of digital data including Adobe Analytics and raw clickstream

Experience in identifying KPIs, developing reports and dashboards, and data visualization

Adept in connecting requirements to technology, uncovering new uses of technology and defining product evaluation criteria

Skilled in translating business questions into analytics requirements

Demonstrated project management and organization skills

Ability to work and thrive in collaborative work environment as well as independently to drive results

Impeccable attention to detail, while being comfortable with ambiguity

Direct experience with analytics technologies such as Adobe Analytics, Google - Analytics, Tealium, Adobe Audience Manager, Adobe Target, Acxiom, Tableau, SQL, Hadoop, R

Experience with testing analytics tags end to end

Experience with working in an agile environment

Experience in the financial services industry is a plus

Strong analytic skills with the ability to extract, collect, organize, analyze and interpret trends or patterns

Demonstrated project management skills

Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Team leadership and people development experience that ensures high team satisfaction, development and effective utilization of offshore talent

Desire to innovate within the digital analytics space to drive efficiency in operations

Location Expectations 
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $133,365.00 - $156,900.00 - $172,590.00
