The Digital Artist Intern supports the team to quickly and efficiently produce visualization content based on engineering and design data to support customer requirements with oversight. Create and develop content using a multitude of digital mediums for the best balance of quality and performance. This role will visualize new or modified vehicles and showcase those concepts with photorealistic renderings, animations, and interactive models.
**This position requires you to be onsite in Oshkosh, WI for the duration of the summer.**
**YOUR IMPACT:**
+ Produce highly detailed 3D models of trucks by leveraging existing CAD data, creating custom 3D assets, and utilizing expertise in UV unwrapping, texturing, and generalist 3D modeling techniques to achieve photorealistic quality and functionality.
+ Create static renderings and animated visualizations of new or existing designs to support engineering design reviews, internal and external marketing, and bid proposals with an emphasis on schedule, quality and creativity that will meet or exceed customer expectations.
+ Use state of the art editing, effects, and post processing to composite images & renders.
+ Provide quality deliverables within the allotted schedule.
+ Provide art direction as needed to help guide team members to achieve project directives.
+ Import and maintain models that will be used for CG visualization and support model modifications as required.
+ Work with the industrial design team to create visual and interactive design solutions for vehicle systems.
+ Oversee libraries containing models, materials, studios, etc.
+ Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers.
+ Support intranet site with relevant and current projects to showcase Oshkosh capability.
+ Perform job duties in an ethical, professional manner which is consistent with the Oshkosh Way. Conduct duties consistent with the Company’s mission statement, quality objectives, and defined policies and procedures.
+ Promote a people first culture by integrating into and contributing to a cohesive team with creativity, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
+ Create and maintain templates such as studios, materials and other processes.
+ Keep abreast of current trends in digital art software products and deploy for other team members to use.
+ Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, risks, and progress.
+ Other duties as assigned.
+ Regular attendance is required.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Digital Art, Graphic Design, Game Design, Animation, or a related field.
+ Cumulative GPA of 3.0 of greater
**STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Proficient in Blender, 3ds Max, V-ray, Keyshot, or similar applications.
+ Proficient at Microsoft office.
+ Proficient at post processing graphics and animations
+ Proficient with low poly modeling, UV mapping, and texture baking.
+ Proficient with Realtime 3D engines (Unity, Unreal).
+ Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar software.
+ Knowledge of multiple 3D tools.
+ Knowledge of generative AI techniques for image, video, & models
+ Knowledge of importing and exporting CAD

**Pay Range:**
$18.00 - $37.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
