JOB DESCRIPTION
The Contract Image Researcher will be responsible for organizing, archiving, and ingesting content into The Great Courses (TGC) Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. This role will be a critical part for the Content Development (CD) and Marketing teams, ensuring that our visual assets are easily accessible, properly categorized, and maintained to support the transition to an entirely new tool and workflow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Organize and Archive Content: Categorize and tag images, videos, and other digital assets according to TGCs established taxonomy and metadata standards.
Ingest Content into DAM System: Upload, tag, and ensure proper metadata is applied to assets in the DAM, following consistent processes to maintain a high standard of organization.
Collaborate with Content Development and Marketing Teams: Work closely with both the CD and Marketing departments to understand their asset needs and ensure that relevant content is available and easily accessible.
Quality Assurance: Regularly review and audit the DAM system for consistency, accuracy, and completeness of metadata, ensuring assets are properly archived and easily retrievable.
Conduct Image Research: Research appropriate imagery and visual assets as needed by the CD and Marketing teams, ensuring all assets comply with copyright and licensing agreements.
Maintain Digital Asset Workflow: Assist in developing and maintaining workflows for the ingestion, organization, and retrieval of assets to support efficient cross-departmental processes.
Support Asset Retrieval Requests: Respond to requests for assets from various departments, providing support in locating, downloading, and delivering files.
Assist with Asset Retention and Deletion Policies: Help establish and enforce asset retention and deletion policies to ensure DAM system efficiency and compliance with legal requirements.

Skills and Requirements
Proven experience working with DAM systems, content libraries, or similar databases.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with experience in metadata tagging and taxonomy management.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with image research, licensing, and copyright regulations.
Experience working with production and marketing teams is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or similar software is a plus.
A degree in Media Arts, Design, Library Science, Digital Marketing, or a related field is preferred. null
