The Digital Content and Communications Associate holds an interest in building a brand identity and online presence through the creation and dissemination of multimedia content targeting an interior design audience.  The San Francisco Design Center (SFDC) is the leading interior design and home furnishings destination in the West located in the SOMA district.  An acknowledged industry leader, SFDC is home to 100 showrooms featuring more than 2,000 manufacturers of interior design resources.   


This individual will provide communications support to the Director of Marketing at the Design Center and the tenant showrooms by contributing to internal and external communications efforts and field marketing activities. This may include the development and delivery of critical project materials, under the direction of the Director of Marketing. The ideal candidate is a highly detail-oriented professional who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and successfully manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.  This full-time, onsite role will report to the Director of Marketing and work closely with the Property Management team.

JOB DUTIES

Contribute to and drive communication plans, programs and activities that support SFDC and its tenant showroomsPlan, edit format, and write content for a variety of internal and external communication mediums, including intranet or email communications, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest and other social media platformsMaintain a content marketing calendar that schedules all aspects of creation and delivery throughout the year utilizing programs such as Social Sprout, Live Pigeon, and ActiveCampaign.Propose SFDC’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy to be approved by the Director of MarketingMeet key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media and digital marketing campaigns, such as targets for certain number of shares or likes and measuring campaign performances against the KPIsProvide monthly reporting identifying marketing outreach analytics and target group responsesOrganically grow social media following and outreachDesign graphics for internal and external communications such as building signage, eblasts, social media posts, etc. utilizing Photoshop and CanvaMaintain consistency in communication messages across all mediums and for various departments of the organizationFollow organizational initiatives to ensure successful communication to employees and stakeholdersAssist with managing mailing lists, distributing, and tracking engagement of internal and external communicationsResearch social media trends and current best practices in the industry to keep SFDC ahead in its marketMaintain SFDC website and update content using WordPressCoordinate with website partner on SEO optimizationFormat and distribute internal and external communications on behalf of property tenants (ie. eblasts)Research and suggest innovative ways to keep SFDC a leader in the design industry while remaining compliant with brand standardsStay up to date with trends in the interior design industryWork closely with the Director of Marketing to execute SFDC marketing goals and program initiativesParticipate in design trade and industry organizations to stay in-the-know on industry trendsSupport property leasing efforts where applicableAssist in the planning and production of property programs and eventsFoster a positive and professional work environment at all timesAny additional duties as assigned

SKILLS AND APTITUDES

Detailed knowledge of current online tools and marketing trendsExperience successfully managing several projects involving internal clients, external partners, and high-level business concepts simultaneouslyIn-depth knowledge of marketing channels and tactics, including events, experiences, promotions, social media and traditional and digital marketingExceptional verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in copywriting and proofreadingHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop, ActiveCampaign or other email marketing services, Sprout Social or other social media management solutionsKnowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and experience applying those to websites and digital programsThinks creatively to resolve all customer concerns where applicableSelf-starter, motivated, takes initiative, and anticipates needs of others

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in marketing, communications, public relations, journalismMinimum of three-five years in B2C marketing, including digital and retail marketing experiencePrevious community involvement or networking experience in design industry and luxury/premium brands is preferredInterest in working independently as well as with ownership, property management and JLL Regional Management

Estimated total compensation for this position:

67,000.00 – 70,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
