Summary:
As a Digital Design Engineer at Microwave Products Group – Pole/Zero Corporation in West Chester, OH, you will support the military community by being responsible for developing and supporting control systems for RF interference mitigation products.

Primary Responsibilities:
Embedded C/C++ coding, compiling, debugging, and integration with digital hardware. Develop embedded control algorithms, architecture, and code. FPGA/CPLD design and VHDL coding, simulation, and synthesis for embedded applications. Design schematics containing components such as programmable logic, microcontrollers, analog, digital I/O, standard interfaces (e.g. LVDS, USB, Ethernet, RS-485), and DC/DC converters. Integral involvement in all phases of hardware and firmware development, including digital control module design, architecture, coding, simulation, module testing, system testing, firmware verification/validation, and production support. Test firmware for compliance to requirements, verification of functionality and performance using Pole/Zero hardware and commercial equipment such as in-circuit emulators, logic analyzers, mixed-signal oscilloscopes, network and spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Include:
Experience in embedded firmware development using C/C++ & Assembly language for microcontrollers. Experience in FPGA/CPLD design and VHDL/Verilog coding for embedded applications. Experience developing analog and digital electronic systems. Proficiency at solving problems in a timely manner. Ability to appropriately apply engineering principles and concepts to the area of embedded control. Ability to troubleshoot and debug hardware control issues. Ability to define critical project criteria to ensure timely completion. Ability to draw solutions from both formal training and experience. Ability to work independently and within a tight-knit team environment. Ability to follow company procedures and work instructions. Experience in an RF/analog hardware environment is highly desirable. Experience with embedded control design and coding for the defense industry is highly desirable. Experience with Agile software development and Git is desirable. Experience with signal processing is a plus. Familiarity with requirements management and verifications Familiarity with MS Office programs – Exel, Word, Visio Familiarity with layout tools – like PADs software
Requirements Include:
BSEE or BSCE from an accredited four-year college or university is required. 4-10 years of developing and supporting embedded control systems (can include co-op experience). Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
