Digital Engineer - Electrical

About the role:
Safety and sustainability are two main aspects driving business decisions at Barry Callebaut. With electricity the primary source of energy required for the production of chocolate and cocoa products, safe and efficient use of electricity is essential. On top, with electricity being an energy vector that is relatively easy to decarbonize, it is a key element in Barry Callebaut’s pathway to reduce its CO2 emission. The mission of the Digital Engineer - Electrical is to define and manage the global standards for electrical systems in Barry Callebaut’s factories and warehouses. She/he supports execution teams worldwide in complying with those global standards and builds up a set of global and local suppliers that implement the electrical standards for Barry Callebaut facilities. The Digital Engineer - Electrical has oversight of the installed base of electrical systems in the company and initiates modernization programs. She/he furthermore contributes to Barry Callebaut’s sustainability ambition by developing energy-efficient electrical systems
