Job Summary

The Digital Enterprise Design Manager has accountability for the assigned application design, user role definitions, validation, production of training documentation and hand over to the deployment team.  They will work with OI’s Systems Implementation consultants and other leaders and SMEs to coordinate interdependencies, find synergies, and ensure a scalable design that aligns with OI’s capabilities roadmap.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

Own the overall business process design for assigned application(s)

Manage multiple design team members to deliver projects across business areas

Understand the OI’s business processes, challenges, and opportunities, so they are represented during the design workshops

Work with business leaders to identify needed subject matter experts (SME’s)

Participate in workshop prep activities and scheduling

Participate in workshops and provide input based on expertise and experience

Review and approve key design decisions

Review and provide input for any system gaps leading to customization, and present them to the Director of Design

Assist in designing security roles and security role testing

Direct and support technical design

 

Own the system validation results and training documentation

Assist team in identifying and developing end to end test scenarios and assist in identifying testers for System Integration Testing (SIT) testing

Identify data validators from the business for data validation

Review and accept/reject test results

Approve training / documentation

 

Be a visible advocate for organizational change & sustainability

Assist organizational change management (OCM) team in identifying change agents and trainers in their process areas

Participate in and guide OCM activities e.g., change impacts, training

Advise data & analytics team on adoption metrics and management reports

Support design & implementation of steady-state governance and change management model

 

Job Requirements

 

5+ years of experience working in various business processes in a manufacturing industry

3+ years of managing teams

Experience leading complex projects that affect multiple functions

Ability to manage multiple projects at one time

Hands-on experience working with IT on projects

Process improvement knowledge gained while working in an organization undergoing a significant operational culture shift

Creation and improvement of processes that demonstrate ease of doing business internally and externally

Development and implementation of process adherence and data quality adoption metrics

Strong interpersonal and organizational influencing skills

Ability to communicate in a simple, articulate, thoughtful manner to varying audience levels

Innovative spirit to work cross-functionally in developing improvement ideas

A pleasant, likeable manner while accomplishing challenging results

Bachelor’s Degree in Business/related discipline

Travel: Up to 50%
