Digital Finance & Business Management - Senior Associate

The Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Finance & Business Management team is committed to supporting the strategic and financial objectives of the business, while ensuring a sound control environment and complying with all legal and regulatory requirements. 

As a Senior Associate in Digital Finance & Business Management, you will be supporting the Design and Customer Experience team by optimizing planned spend, acting as a trusted advisor, and being responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating financial risks to plan. You will also provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight and coordination of budgeting and forecasting, financial control, analysis of financial/business metrics, delivery of weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting, development of new reporting capabilities (e.g. dashboards), and advising the line of business Chief Financial Officers on how to increase profitability and efficiencies.

For this role, candidates must be able to physically work in either our Wilmington, DE or Columbus, OH offices 3 days per week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined and communicated by direct management.

Job responsibilities

Coordinate financial budgeting & forecasting and produce reporting and analysis related to the Design and Customer Experience operating expenses and headcountServe as a liaison between finance organizations (lines of business, functional Chief Financial Officers, and other) support teams in order to provide impactful reporting, planning and insightful analysesProduce presentations, analysis and supporting materials for key internal clients including senior managementCreate, maintain and review financial models and analyses (both recurring and ad-hoc)Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting, system updates and presentationsProvide updates on progress vs. key metricsConduct "deep dive" analyses on key issues to determine root cause and propose solutionsCollaborate with business partners to ensure the timely, accurate and effective delivery of recurring and ad-hoc initiativesEnhance controls and streamline processes, introducing automation where possibleBuild and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholdersParticipate and support ad-hoc special projects and requests as needed

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field 4+ years of relevant experienceAdvanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Essbase Strong written and verbal communications skillsStrong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to navigate multiple data sets and synthesize into cohesive presentation and recommendationsAbility to present financial performance information in a clear and concise manner that tells the story behind the financials in a compelling wayDetail oriented with the ability to work well under pressureInquisitive, enthusiastic, diligent, confident, and capable of challenging peers; identifies and executes on opportunities outside of direct span of controlAbility to build strong partnerships with colleaguesSelf-starter who can work in a fast paced, results driven environment with sound judgment, professional maturity and personal integrity

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

CFA, CPA, MBAExperience in the financial services industryAlteryx and Tableau experience
