This position focuses on community engagement and is dedicated to helping all city residents gain access to the Internet and understand how to use technology. It involves providing program management support for the Digital Inclusion Program within Technology Solutions. The role assists the Digital Inclusion and Community Engagement Manager in coordinating initiatives that ensure everyone in the city can access the internet and effectively use technology in key areas such as education, healthcare, and employment opportunities. Key responsibilities include supporting efforts within the digital inclusion program, coordinating with community partners, reporting on ongoing programmatic solutions, and conducting community engagement and outreach activities. Duties/Responsibilities + Support the planning process of creating and implementing the City of Durham Digital Inclusion Plan + Proactively manage program operations, standard operation procedures, communication plans, and reporting deadlines. + Manage and work on special projects and initiatives on an ad-hoc basis. These include multi-jurisdictional department projects, analysis engagements, community engagement events, and internal consulting. + Respond and facilitate solutions to address identified gaps, inquiries, and program requests. + Provide continuous training to identify residents in various communities within Durham. Minimum Qualifications & Experience + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or public administration or directly related field + Two years of professional program administration and/or analytical experience in area of assignment. + Experience working with diverse community groups, community-based organizations, and/or non-profits Additional Preferred Skills • Proficient skills in MS Office applications (ex.
