Daikin Applied is seeking a talented Digital & IT Infrastructure Architect. The Digital & IT Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for architecting, designing, building, and maintaining DAA’s digital infrastructure. You will work with business and IT leaders to understand current and future needs of both the business and digital IT. You will work with Infrastructure SMEs and administrators to design and build infrastructure solutions to meet current and future needs. This person will act as the technology expert on the infrastructure leadership team. What you will do: 

Develop strategy and roadmap for digital infrastructure: Develop and implement comprehensive digital infrastructure strategies, roadmap, innovation, continuous improvement, IaC, programmable infrastructure, SRE, Observability that support business goals and enhance operational efficiency Analyze the organization's future digital infrastructure needs, recommending improvements or alternative technologies to better meet business needs Provide technical leadership for strategic programs and projects to guide the evolution of current technology offerings into next generation capabilities aligned to new and emerging business needs. Prepare and present proposed technology solutions to the Executive Leadership team Technology Integration: Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve infrastructure capabilities and performance System Architecture: Design and manage the architecture of servers, storage, networks, and cloud services to ensure reliability and scalability Business partner functions: Understand business processes and functions across the enterprise to design solutions that achieve business goals. Translate complex technical concepts into business language, as well as translate business goals into technical solution requirements New Technology: Stay on top of the latest trends and developments within the IT field. Develop, implement and lead a robust, quantitative new technology evaluation proof of concept (POC) process for DAA Designing and Implementing New Systems: Create detailed system requirements, system designs, integration plans, implementation plans, and test plans for new systems to be added into existing systems infrastructure System Improvements: Evaluate the security and suitability of existing systems, and ensure they continue to meet business and technical requirements. Perform reviews of the current environment to detect deficiencies and automation opportunities, and recommend, plan and implement improvements Technical Architecture Leadership: Facilitate, communicate, collaborate, coach, and persuade others in defining, documenting, adopting, and implementing a coherent technical architecture across multiple Infrastructure and IT teams and disciplines Enterprise Architecture: Represent Infrastructure on the Enterprise Architecture team and represent Infrastructure as a reviewer and stage gate approver on large Information Technology PMO projects Technology Standards: Guide the development and maintenance of infrastructure and technology standards, templates, audits, and standard work instructions Ongoing Support: Provide technical assistance, guidance, and advice on high impact incidents and problems to ensure that Infrastructure continues to effectively support the business

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or information technology, or equivalent experience 12+ years’ experience in a production IT environment, with a comprehensive knowledge of technical infrastructure systems with at least 8+ years in an architect role A demonstrable and broad working knowledge in the areas of web technologies, server and virtualization technologies, data storage, Cloud and SaaS technologies, networking, database management, infrastructure automation and scripting technologies, client management technologies, data center management, and information security Strong technical expertise in software development, architecture, and design, with proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks, IaC, programmable infrastructure Experience with platform engineering and infrastructure technologies, such as container orchestration (Kubernetes), cloud services (Azure), Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines Proficiency in observability tools (e.g. Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk) Strong customer/employee centric mindset and ability to empathize with end-user experience challenges Strong technical/strategic appetite to think about infrastructure as DEX, DUX and not be a legacy thinker Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $113,000 - $179,000 + bonus in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
