SUMMARY:
This Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) will:
1. Serve as the content specialist in digital literacy.
2. Provides professional learning on the integration of information literacy, technology literacy, and digital citizenship to develop a community of 21st century readers and learners.
3. Work side-by-side with teachers and school leaders to build capacity through planning, modeling, co-teaching, and reflecting to facilitate student growth in digital literacy across all content areas.

EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Master’s degree or endorsement in instructional technology or library field preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience as a certified teacher in a K-12 setting
• Proven integration of technology into instruction in an educational setting
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS:
• Must hold a valid Colorado teachers license and be highly qualified in specified core content area.
• Preference given to candidates with ELL Training and/or an ESL or (LDE) Linguistically Diverse Education Endorsement.
• Criminal background check required for hire.

a. contemporary hardware trouble-shooting
b. integration of mobile devices in education (i.e. cell phones, iPads, eReaders)
c. familiarity with online presentation programs that support creativity
d. strong software aptitude
• Evidence of life-long learner who is “networked”:
a. subscribes to blogs, journals, and other current publications
b. is a contributing member of a personal learning network
c. familiarity with professional organizations that support mission of instructional technology

SALARY INFORMATION (FOR EXTERNAL CANDIDATES):
Salary placement on ourCertified Salary schedule (https://www.adams12.org/human-resources/salary-schedules) is dependent on the employees’ education and/or work experience
Certified/licensed employees will be granted one (1) year for each full year of contractual and/or work experience up to a maximum of ten (10) years, which includes in-district and out-of-district contractual teaching and/or work experience. Responsibility for verification of outside experience shall rest with the individual employee.

Internal Candidates Only:
13.2.5 Voluntary transfers that occur fifteen working days before the start of the school year and until the end of the school year shall happen once the position being vacated has been filled, for a duration of no more than four weeks. This four week time period could be adjusted in consultation with the educator, current and receiving supervisor and with approval from the Chief Human Resources Officer and the Association President.
