Business Management optimizes business performances by helping to drive key initiatives. We act as trusted advisors and counterweight to Business/Group Heads, and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. The role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from business to business, in line with the priorities of the different lines of business.
As a Digital Markets Business Manager, you will be required to support three senior business leads (Head of FICC Digital Markets, Head of Equities Digital Markets, Head of Digital Markets Sales Product) in driving a large portfolio of digital transformation initiatives across Markets. In this role, the business manager must ensure scalable performance monitoring of our Workflow Automation, Electronic Trading, CRM and Platform initiatives, implement scalable systems and processes to reduce repetitive workflows, and help report on business objectives, progress and outcomes to key stakeholders on a regular basis. The business manager will build a significant network of stakeholders and partners covering product managers, controls, legal, traders, salespeople, technology, P&A and other business managers to manage a complex portfolio initiatives on behalf of your business heads. As a key business advisor, this person would also be expected to challenge the business leads and drive both organizational and disruptive change. The candidate for this role will need to demonstrate curiosity, ownership mentality, and the ability dive quickly in and out of various product initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
Implement new business strategy, strategic initiatives or platforms, including aligning department and support groups (Finance, Tech, Ops, Legal, Compliance) Optimize 'bottom line' business performance by driving key initiatives (fees, cost base, RWA and capital utilization) Identify, escalate and mitigate business risks that could impair our ability to do business: e.g. legal, tax, regulatory, capacity issues, extraordinary transaction costs Analyze financial performance, including expenses; identify productivity initiatives and drive implementation Partner with the business, Operations and Technology in the definition of future workflows and implementation of related technology and infrastructure projects to prepare the business to meet the requirements of an ever evolving market structure Partner with the relevant external service/ infrastructure providers Provide business representation in respective internal/external working groupsRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Prior background in Capital Markets, ideally with some Project Management, Product Management, Business Management or COO experience Good understanding of Markets products (FX, Credit, Rates, Equities) and Electronic Trading trends Good knowledge and experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Python, and Jupyter Notebooks Educational degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Economics or related field Energetic, dynamic, and highly motivated self-starter Excellent time management and prioritization skills Strong presentation skills for senior and global business heads Ability to forge strong internal relationships across functions Self-motivated, tenacious, and able to work independently Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with large data sets Excellent project management and organizational skills, and attention to detail
