Digital Media Forensic Examiner
Position Description:

CGI is seeking a Digital Media Forensic Examiner with a strong commitment to teamwork to join our team in Bethesda, MD

This position is located in Bethesda, MD.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Providing forensic examinations on a variety of media to include hard drives,
removeable media, memory cards, and mobile devices.
Write examination reports for both high level and technical audiences, documenting opinions and interpretations when required.
Responsible for performing peer reviews on reports and providing the customer with recommendations on TTPs (Tactics, Techniques,
and Procedures) regarding digital forensic examinations

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

BS degree in computer science or related discipline
Due to the nature of the work, US citizenship and a TS SCI with CI Poly clearance are required
5+ yrs experience in computer forensics
Demonstrated experience in digital forensics (exploitation and examination)
Demonstrated experience in mobile device data extraction and analysis
Experience with file system forensics
Understanding of iOS and Android operating systems and applications
Understanding of managing complex, large data set analysis
In-depth experience with timeline analysis
Experience with forensic media imaging
Experience with email analysis
Experience with signature and hash analysis
Demonstrated experience with forensic tools such as EnCase, Forensic Toolkit (FTK), and X-Ways Forensics, Axiom,
Cellebrite, GrayKey
Strong verbal and written communication skills with technical report writing experience
DoD 8570 Compliance (IAT Level II) required to start.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Industry-specific certifications such as Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), EnCase Certified Examiner
(EnCE), AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), and/or DoD-DFE
Intelligence Community (IC) experience
Forensic tool and script development
Programming experience

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $195,200.00.
