Job Description
The Washington Post Production facility, located in Springfield, VA. is searching for a driven, enthusiastic Digital Press Operator in our growing Digital Printing Operation. In this role the Digital Press Operator is responsible for running the digital presses and other production equipment as needed. They are expected to become the expert on the products their team is responsible for as well as knowledgeable about the equipment used to complete the finished product.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ability to comprehend job tickets and input information into production control systems
Operating a Konica Minolta KM-1e digital sheetfed press and KM 6100 toner press
Operation of folder and booklet making and other production equipment
Build strong professional relationship with colleague and clients
Understanding and following the weekly production schedule
Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Ensuring equipment is maintained, auditing for PM compliance, and troubleshooting issues to keep equipment running
Learn and master how to audit for jobs for completion and customer satisfaction
Ensuring safe work practices and the use of PPE
Successfully complete the work center specific training program that includes equipment, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Requirements:
Digital press experience preferred, but not required.
Machine operating experience
High School Diploma required, trade school or college education is a plus
Demonstrates mechanical aptitude
Proven track record of being a positive role model, excellent performance, and attendance record
Good time management is critical
Effective communication skills
Ability to work productively with employees, peers, other departments, and all levels of management.
Exhibits strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

The salary range for this position is:
42,300.00 - 63,500.00 USD AnnualThe actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. This position may be eligible for a bonus or incentive program, and a member of the Talent Acquisition team will discuss bonus payment terms and conditions during the interview process.
