Freddie Mac Multifamily is seeking a Digital Product Designer who is eager to be at the forefront of advancing our design practice. Join the OneRoof team, where you will apply your expertise in design systems to support and enhance our design framework and components library. You will work closely with our product, engineering, and business teams to define a unique visual language and brand identity that embodies our mission to make housing services more accessible and user-friendly. Your Impact:

Support the building and management of a comprehensive design system, including style guides, component libraries, and documentation that ensures consistency and efficiency across all products. 

Apply your visual design skills to create engaging, on-brand UI elements and layouts that enhance usability and delight users. 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the design system seamlessly into our product development process, enabling rapid prototyping and iteration. 

Conduct design system audits and find opportunities for improvement, ensuring the system evolves to meet changing needs and maintains best practices. 

Deliver training and support to developers and other stakeholders on the proper use and application of the design system. 

Participate in design reviews, providing expert feedback and guidance to ensure all designs align with our established standards and guidelines. 

Stay current with design system trends and technologies, championing innovation and adoption of new tools and techniques. 

Qualifications:

1-3 years of proven experience building digital products. 

Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or equivalent experience. 

Extensive knowledge of visual design principles, typography, color theory, and layout design, and how to apply them consistently at scale. 

Expert proficiency in Figma, including advanced features for design system management and collaboration. 

Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript MUI) and handoff processes to ensure proper implementation of designs. 

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and champion the value of the design system to diverse audiences. 

Experience with accessibility standards and designing inclusive user interfaces. 

Familiarity with agile development methodologies and collaborating closely with engineering teams. 

Prior work with enterprise-level design systems for products in fintech or government sectors. 

Portfolio showcasing relevant academic or personal projects.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $74,000 - $112,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
