The Manager (Team Product Lead) on the Digital Retail Shop team is skilled and experienced to lead a digital product development team for a component of an existing product or experience, or new product.

They contribute to the product vision and translate it for the product development team. They are responsible for team backlog development and prioritization, maintaining integrity of features or components, and collaborating closely with Engineering, Design, and other members of the team. They will also identify, revise, and socialize team KPIs to achieve the defined OKRs. This individual shares accountability with the Engineering counterpart for the delivery of outcomes by the team.

Responsibilities

Product Vision, Strategy, and Road mapping - 10%

Provides clarity of the product vision developed and communicated by senior product leaders to the team by assisting with the identification of and understanding of customer needs and pain pointsPartners with product leadership, customer experience, and design to integrate the customerperspective into features and experiences

Team Backlog Ownership, User Story Development, and Prioritization - 55%

Builds, prioritizes, edits, and maintains the flow and quality of the Team Backlog to provide teams with clear intent and ensure the delivery of business value, product health, and customer satisfactionEnsures that all backlog items, plus dependencies, are entered and maintained in the work management toolProvides input for testing through well-written user stories with thorough acceptance criteria. Through leading refinement sessions, they provide applicable feedback on user stories to ensure quality has been achieved by validating that the story meets the acceptance criteriaSupports testing, deployment, release, and post-release activitiesThey will work directly with engineering and others to optimize the working team model and ensure alignments across higher-level epics or requirements

Trend Monitoring and Product Performance - 20%

Responsible for tracking product health to inform roadmap and stakeholder updates. Key metrics include core Product Metrics (i.e., Visits, Success Rates, etc.), Technical Health (i.e., Site Speed, Crash Rate, API Performance, etc.), Customer Feedback (i.e., App Rating, Quantum Metric, Medallia, etc.) and/or other appropriate metricsDefines team KPIs to contribute to product OKRs, socializes progress, and consistently reinforces objectivesUses performance data to identify issues quickly, and develops new insights and hypotheses about product healthDevelops feature-level measurement plans that include various success metrics

Product Value, Cross-Functional Teaming, and Stakeholder Management - 15%

As a part of the cross-functional team, collaborates closely with engineering, design, architecture, operations and other team members using agile practicesProduces the product or experience demo and presents to stakeholders via collaboration with the teamServes as the point of contact for feature delivery and works directly with Domain Owners when necessary to ensure broader alignment with the Epic


Required Qualifications

5+ years required experience as Product Owner, Business Analyst, Project Manager, Consulting, IT, or related field. Previous experience in agile product development helpful5+ years required experience in software product management, with demonstrated success in building large-scale consumer facing productsStrong critical thinker who makes balanced, insightful decisions is able to make confident decisions about their respective areaPrioritizes work with an appropriate sense of urgency based on deadlines and overarching team goalsFact-based problem solver with the ability to proactively identify and address potential issues, and evaluate alternative courses of actionCollaborative style, with the ability to establish working relationships across the senior management team, business units, as well as with external advisors and constituentsSelf-starter; comfortable jumping in as needed to support the teamCreates a safe environment for everyone to bring their whole selves to work every dayCommunicates concepts in a clear and understandable manner to direct leaders and peers, actively participates in team discussions, and seeks opportunities to present informationThinks beyond the day-to-day, taking a long-term, big-picture view


Preferred Qualifications

Prior working experience with a software development team in an agile environmentAbility to drive cross functional teams to alignment in the midst of ambiguityData-driven decision making and quantitative analysis skillsGeneral understanding of core programming and computer science concepts


Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology, Finance, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$92,700.00 - $185,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
