Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $62,000.00 - $73,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

The main purpose of this position is to assist, guide and shape Commerce Bank’s digital products and services for customers across desktop and mobile platforms. With a focus on growing product sales and enrollments to online services, this position will play a key role in evaluating existing digital offerings, strategic planning, and performing competitive analysis.

Essential Functions

Contribute to the Product Development Process by identifying user stories to meet customer needs, determining new features and enhancements, ensuring digital products are competitively positioned

Ensure project success by coordinating user acceptance testing, communication, training and release schedules

Comply with Written Supervisory Procedures to ensure digital products are functioning as designed, accurate information is being presented, system issues are properly reported, and product releases are properly tested prior to a production release

Conduct competitive assessments, industry trends analysis, and communicate insights and recommended action items

Partner with assigned line of businesses (LOBs) to understand high level business goals and relative priorities

Work closely with IT Product Managers, Project Management Office, and IT Development and/or 3rd party vendors to manage the development timeline for new product development, maintenance projects and to reconcile production issues or concerns

Key point of contact for IT Product Managers to quickly provide business decisions and own escalation of execution decisions

Partner with Legal and Compliance for approvals and risk mitigation

Gather customer feedback, recommend corrective actions to improve the customer experience, and work with internal and external partners to deploy those recommendations to the market

Monitor internal/external feedback of desired enhancements and product deficiencies

Partner with Marketing to define communication and marketing plans, gather key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, and recommend corrective action plans depending on customer impact and severity

Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Basic knowledge of product management, business analysis and software development lifecycle

Ability to solve complex customer problems through validated learning, process improvement and technology

Adept in the product sales and service enrollments within Digital Channels (e.g., Mobile, Desktop, etc.)

Basic ability to track and compile KPI data along with the ability to prepare graphical and narrative explanation of key trends

Proven ability to drive projects forward and ability to effectively communicate progress and/or barriers to stakeholders

Ability to successfully collaborate in a matrixed organization across departments and teams

Demonstrated Independent judgement and effective prioritization of workload based on management direction

Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Education & Experience

Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, MIS, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required

1+ years Digital Product Development experience leading the development of digital products (retail banking solutions preferred) across all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) required

1+ years Web and/or Mobile platform/product experience required

1+ years of financial services experience preferred

1+ year experience managing and coordinating relationships with external business partners preferred

NPDP certification preferred

PSPO I certification preferred

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $62,000 to $73,000 annually.
