Overview This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following locations: AL, AR, CT, DE, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MN, MS, MT, NC, NE, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, UT, VA, VT, WV As a Digital Risk Manager at First Citizens Bank, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our digital customer experience by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential risks associated with our web-based platforms, particularly focusing on FirstCitizens.com. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager overseeing risk compliance and regulatory needs for externally facing websites, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, implementing risk management strategies, developing processes and procedures, managing quality assurance, and fostering a culture of compliance within the Digital Customer Experience (DCX) team. You will manage a team in the development, implementation, and execution of risk management initiatives. Responsibilities Risk Management: Analyze and assess risks associated with web-based digital customer experience. Develop risk management strategies and initiatives to mitigate identified risks, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and internal policies. Monitor and evaluate risk exposure, proactively identifying emerging threats and vulnerabilities in web-based technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Enterprise Risk Management (EROM), Financial Risk Management (FRM), and Compliance, to address risk-related issues and implement effective controls. Leads and controls the annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment process as well as control testing. Governance and Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, providing guidance on risk-related matters to stakeholders within the organization. Conduct regular assessments and audits of FirstCitizens.com to ensure adherence to established risk management protocols. Manage the implementation of governance documents and procedures to support operational activities and mitigate risks effectively. Participate in mandatory risk training sessions and educate relevant personnel on key risk programs and protocols. Risk Reporting and Analysis: Generate comprehensive risk reports, highlighting key insights, trends, and areas of improvement for the digital customer experience domain. Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential risk factors in web-based technologies. Collaborate with management to develop actionable recommendations and strategies based on risk assessment findings. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a subject matter expert on web-based technology risks, providing guidance and support to internal teams involved in digital initiatives. Collaborate with IT teams to address cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities affecting digital customer interactions and domain management. Partner with external stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and industry partners to stay abreast of evolving risk landscape and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Risk management, or financial analysis, or statistical modeling -OR- High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Risk management, or financial analysis, or statistical modeling Additional Required Qualifications: Strong understanding of web-based technologies, digital customer experience principles, and regulatory requirements. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify risk patterns. Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
