The Role
We are seeking a seasoned Digital Services Manager to lead our dynamic digital services team in Portugal. This role is pivotal in driving the digital transformation journey of Siemens Mobility by leading a diverse team of technical experts, including developers, data engineers and infrastructure architects. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of designing cutting-edge solutions and architectures, fostering a people-focused team culture, and ensuring our projects are executed with agility and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a diverse technical team, nurturing talent and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment. Oversee the lifecycle of projects from pre-sales to solution design and technical architecture, ensuring they meet business objectives and are delivered efficiently. Drive the adoption of Agile methodologies, promoting continuous improvement in project and development processes. Engage closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs, providing expert advice and innovative solutions that enhance their business operations. Maintain a deep technical understanding, especially in cloud technologies (with a focus on AWS) and software development, to lead the team in designing and implementing robust solutions. Collaborate with other departments and teams within Siemens Mobility to align digital services with the broader organizational goals. As a leader, you will champion Diversity and Inclusion initiatives within the organization including fostering an inclusive environment, and ensuring that diverse perspectives are valued and integrated across all levels of the team.Qualifications
Experience leading diverse technical teams, including developers, data engineers, security specialists and dev/ops engineers. Proven track record of successfully leading digital projects, including involvement in pre-sales, solution design, and technical architecture. Strong people management skills, with experience in mentoring and nurturing team members to achieve their full potential. Solid understanding of project and development processes, particularly Agile methodologies. Deep technical background, with hands-on experience in cloud technologies (preferably AWS) and software development. Expertise in cybersecurity, particularly in areas like compliance frameworks and information security, is highly regarded. Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of inspiring a team and engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Relevant bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Why Siemens Mobility?
