We are looking for a new team member to lead the IT architecture practice for consumer-facing applications including brand websites and Direct-to-Consumer selling that we have for our Grooming brands (Braun, Gillette, Venus, The Art of Shaving) around the world. The role will require being an IT expert and the go-to person for product teams to drive the right architecture choices and execution and improve our IT architecture processes and documentation. That requires working closely with both the vertical product teams and the enterprise architecture teams, responsible for presenting technical opportunities and constraints to product teams and proposing solutions.
Responsibilities
Understand business needs via close communication with the product managers
Develop the 3-year master plan for the applications in scope. This can cross over multiple vertical product teams
Work with the Enterprise Architecture team for the maintenance of architecture artifacts in all four domains (Business, Information, Application, Technology)
Lead application and technology selection considering architecture guidelines, TCO (total cost of ownership), stewardship (including security), and change management
Develop relationships with business, product, architecture, development, and operations organizations that impact business processes and applications in scope, and ensure all parties are aligned to the 3-year plan
Understands interdependencies with other applications within the domain
Manage key performance measures that ensure compliance with architecture strategies and best practices
Document architecture decisions for the Solution Area and develop needed Decision Trees to guide application usage selection for the Solution Area
Job Qualifications
Experience in Solution Architecture role in a large organization
Validated experience with Azure and/or GCP clouds
Understanding of Architecture concepts Business, Information, Application, Technology
Conversant knowledge of emerging web and mobile technologies and trends
Hands-on experience with software development, in an agile environment following DevOps best practices and CI/CD automation
Good command of English (spoken and written)
Formal education: Computer Science degree or related
Desired certificates: Azure/GCP architecture and ML, TOGAF, SAFe for Architects, CDMP, CBIP
