Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to coordinate and facilitate the development, implementation, and successful onboarding of digital solutions. Each day, you will support the adoption of digital platform and solutions into the customer business environment along with their subsequent operations and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by participating in the ideation workstreams from identifying and validating the needs to defining the development.The work model for the role is: RemoteThis role is contributing to the Process Automation Process Industries division.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tPerforming a variety of software engineering tasks in one or more areas of the assigned areas such as software development, software quality engineering, software testing, DevOps, cybersecurity, software release, support and maintenance, and/or release management, with limited supervision.•\tTesting and troubleshooting the final system setup and ensuring its successful rollout through training and retraining the customers and providing subsequent ongoing support and services.•\tEnsuring that all required resources are in place to implement software on-time and on-budget.•\tContributing to the software product roadmap and portfolio through suggesting new features, functionality, and variants.Our team dynamicsYou will join a dynamic and high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.This position reports to: Digital Solutions Consulting Director
Qualifications for the roleBachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Management, Software Engineering or related technical fieldMaster’s degree in a technical field would be an advantage7+ years’ experience in the OT / software industry with focus on digitalization and the Internet of Things, and deep understanding of relevant technologies and trends5+ years’ experience in MES software implementation, consulting or sales in the pulp & paper industryProven track record in customer focus, exposure to customer top management, consultative selling, driving results and turning opportunities into sales successesAbility to deliver complex deliverables under demanding timelines. Be flexible with changes and keep the customer focused and stay within the scope of the engagement.Deep Experience in the industrial software environment; process industry-specific industry exposure (industrial automation/advanced software), experience and background in pulp & paper. Experience and background in other industrial domains of mining, metals and food & beverage would be a plus.Fluency in English, both written and spokenAvailability to travel extensively in NAM and occasionally across the Americas region as requiredCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
