Candidates interested in remote work are encouraged to apply. **Description** As an individual contributor in broader digital team, you will be a crucial player in driving our digital initiatives forward in our agile organization. Our agile operating model consists of two components – Digital Capability and Digital Execution. Digital Execution are about aligning multiple missions around business goals and facilitating collaboration on a larger scale. Digital Capability, on the other hand, focus on the growth and development of individuals within a specific expertise area. This dual structure enables us to scale agile practices efficiently while maintaining a focus on both product development and individual skill enhancement. Digital Capability consists of several groups, each led by Head of Digital. These groups vary in their specific digital capabilities; for example, one of the groups might specialize in data science. Within each group, there are further subdivisions into smaller groups, each focusing on a more detailed aspect of the capability, such as machine learning and statistical modelling within the data science group. The base of the structure consists of individual contributors who report to the heads of these specialized groups. These individuals execute specific tasks and functions within their area of expertise. The groups in Digital Capability share commonalities in focusing on professional development and skill enhancement while they differ in their areas of expertise, reflecting the specialized skills and roles of their members. You will be at the forefront of implementing innovative solutions and will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in your field. **Essential Job Duties** + Unified Digital Strategy: Drive the development of a comprehensive digital strategy and related guidance to achieve Astellas’ digital ambitions. + Strategy Activation: Design and initiate activation plans translating digital strategy into execution and value realization. + Technology Innovation and Best Practices: Identify and evaluate opportunities to leverage new technologies and methodologies. Stay ahead of industry trends, integrating best practices into digital operations to keep the organization competitive and adaptive. + Continuous Strategic Alignment: Ensure continuous reflection and realignment of the digital portfolio with strategic objectives. + Collaboration: Consistently leads by example in collaborating and seeking the very best contributions from other stakeholders, team members, and Subject Matter Experts. + Advocacy: Successfully advance ideas that will benefit the enterprise and generate excitement around innovations. Advance Astellas’ reputation as a thought leader in the industry. + Continuous Learning: Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in a specific area of expertise. + Problem-Solving: Employ analytical and problem-solving skills to overcome project challenges and deliver effective solutions. + Special Projects: Support other special project and activities as assigned to support the success of DigitalX and Astellas. **Qualifications** **Required** + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Marketing). + Minimum of 10 years demonstrated relevant experience (example: defining a digital strategy to support one or more areas of a health sciences value chain). + Experience collaborating with strategy groups in other departments. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work effectively in a team environment. + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. + Agile and adaptable to changing environments and project scopes. . **Preferred** + Consulting experience with boutique technology advisory or Big 6 consulting. + Experience with digital product management. + Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP). + Understanding of basic financial management and forecasting. **Working Environment** At Astellas we recognize the importance of work/life balance, and we are proud to offer a hybrid working solution allowing time to connect with colleagues at the office with the flexibility to also work from home.
