Job Title: FPGA Engineer

Job Description

The Digital Systems Engineer will design, test, and integrate complex digital signal processing systems. This individual will work closely with hardware & software engineers during the test and integration phases. Additionally, they will provide design, documentation, implementation, and testing verification. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.

Hard SkillsDesign, simulation and implementation of FPGA-based digital signal processing systemsDesign FPGA-based circuit card assemblies using schematic captureDevelop hardware prototypes, debug and test using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, logic analyzers, etc.Define and coordinate software tasks related to hardware-software interfaces within FPGA-based circuit card assembliesProficiency with Xilinx FPGA design flows using both ISE and VivadoExperience with full development cycle of FPGA design, including simulation, synthesis, implementation, and timing closureExpertise in FPGA-based real-time DSP implementationExperience with FPGA hardware interfaces related to RF sampling and waveform generation using A/D and D/A convertersFPGA-based high-speed memory and bus interfaces (PCIe, DDR3) are a strong plusStrong understanding of software and hardware interaction (Linux host / PCIe endpoint)Understanding of digital signal processing hardware architecturesFamiliarity with high-speed PCB board layoutBachelor’s degree in Systems or EngineeringSoft SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsIndependent time management of responsibilitiesAbility to interact effectively with project teams, management, and customersJob Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).
